Our environment is a harmonious blend of natural and created spaces. Our outdoor play areas offer play in beautiful, natural gardens, large grassed areas, sand and water play and a mud kitchen. Our children help create spaces for art, drama, storytelling, building and relaxing. We have chickens, worms, native stingless bees, butterflies, frogs and fish who share our natural spaces.

“The Caloundra Kindy really is woven into the fabric of the Caloundra community. For over 50 years the kindy has prepared our kids for all that life presents to them, from one generation to the next. From modest beginnings back in the 1960’s the Caloundra Kindy still embraces a set of values that allow our young boys and girls to live, laugh and learn in a great environment”.

About Caloundra Community Kindergarten

Steeped in history, our Kindergarten has been around for over 50 years. In fact, we are a 3rd generation kindy and we're proud to say that we have families where grandparents, parents and children have all passed through our doors.

Building Relationships

At Caloundra Community Kindy, all the educators focus on building individual relationships and a child's sense of belonging.

Our educators acknowledge all children need to feel that they are in a safe environment, where they are cared for and loved by the people around them, where their individual needs for support, respect and friendships will be met and that if they encounter any problems they know they have people who they can turn to for help - with this comes a sense of belonging.

Educators recognise that relationships within an early childhood setting, are one of the most important aspects of enabling children to feel safe, feel welcomed and that Caloundra Community Kindy is 'their place.'
